Mozambique Livelihoods Baseline Assessment
As of June 2008, FEWS NET and FEG Consulting, in collaboration with the Mozambique Vulnerability Assessment Committee and other FEWS NET Mozambique partners have been undertaking an HEA livelihoods baseline assessment in the Zambezi Valley and in select coastal districts of Nampula and Zambezi Provinces.
Districts identified for this assessment include: Mopeia, Morrumbala, Chinde, Inhassunge, Maganja de Costa, Pebane, Angoche, Moma, Memba, Mossuril, and Nacala Velha.
Livelihood zones in these districts have been selected because of their heightened vulnerability to hazards, and their higher incidence of chronic poverty and food insecurity.
